About Me

I would like to tell you a little bit about myself and why I started a blog.

My name is Carla and I am a 46 year old wife and mom to three teenage boys living in Canada.  I have had a passion for fitness and health for as long as I can remember.  From the time I was 10 years old doing cartwheels around the backyard until now, I have been active and very interested in anything health and fitness related that I could get my hands on.  I have tried many different workouts and training techniques, as well as a lot of different diets and eating styles!  Although throughout the last 25 years many things have changed in my life, one thing that never changes is my desire to keep improving and challenging myself.

Four years ago, with the help of my trainer, I discovered a passion for competing on the stage.  I have competed in four bikini competitions so far, and in May of 2014 I won 1st place in Bikini Masters at a small local show. This fuelled my fire for getting and staying in the best shape of my life, and I am now at the point where I want to share my love of health and wellness with the rest of the world.  Last July I won Bikini Masters 45+ at Provincials and this year I will be going to Nationals!

I also recently completed my Canfitpro personal training certification, which has been a dream of mine for quite a while.  My next step will be to find and complete a nutrition certification course.  I am excited to be able to share my passion for fitness and health with others in this way!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you will follow along with me as I share all the ups and downs of my fitness journey!
